Back Again

So I have so much to talk about but I won't make this super long. We left the hospital on Saturday and and we were excited to head home and try this whole parenting thing. We had set up an appointment with the pediatrician for Monday which was a good thing because Reagan's biliruben score was a 20 which was pretty high and was higher than when we left the hospital on Saturday. So back to the hospital we went. I had a few break down moments even though I know jaundice is common and a lot of newborns have it. It was just hard to go back to the hospital and see her under the lights and not be able to pick her up and snuggle her. We had to spend the night and I did not miss that hospital bed one bit. Here level dropped back to 13 yesterday afternoon so we were allowed to go home. It was so nice to be back home with her. I even think Zoe missed her. We have a follow up appointment tomorrow morning and the doctor just called and we are doing a blood draw before that way we can make sure the levels are still dropping. I'm just glad that I made the appointment for Monday that we caught it before it got worse.

Like I said I have so much to talk about but I have to get around because we have newborn pictures today! I will give you a couple more pictures though just cause I can't help myself!

Going home round 2!

  5. Hmmm...my comment from yesterday didn't show up! I just wanted to say that I hope her bilirubin level gets to where it needs to be so you can be finished with the blood work and just snuggle that cutie all day! Please, keep the pictures coming :)

  7. Precious baby! I feel for you on the jaundice--Ellie had it too. But she bounced back from it in no time and I'm sure your little one will as well. Can't wait to see more pics! Hope you're able to get some rest!
